Recovered PVC from Cable Recycling: Comparing 80% and 60% Grades

What compounders and secondary plastic processors should review when sourcing Metalekspo recovered PVC grades.

Metalekspo TeamAug 04, 2026

Cable recycling creates both valuable metal fractions and recoverable polymer streams. Returning PVC-rich material to secondary processing can improve resource efficiency, but buyers still need a clear understanding of content range, physical form, consistency, packaging, and intended application.

Waste PVC 80% is Metalekspo's higher-PVC-content listed grade and has a stated monthly capacity of 300 tonnes. Waste PVC 60% is a mixed PVC-rich recovery material listed at 500 tonnes per month.

The two grades should not be selected by capacity alone. A buyer should compare the current specification with its sorting, compounding, or recovery process and confirm what incoming inspection and documentation are required. End-use suitability always depends on the receiving processor's technical assessment.

An effective enquiry should include the preferred grade, target monthly volume, destination, packaging format, acceptance criteria, and any sample or analysis requirements. This helps Metalekspo prepare an offer around the actual processing route.
